What Happened With the 79th Group?
Investors were reportedly offered high-return loan notes, including purported returns of 12–15%, secured against real estate, wealth, aviation and other assets — claims which subsequent administrators have not been able to substantiate.
On the 28/05/2025 the City of London Police released a statement confirming they are conducting an investigation into 79th Group Limited for suspected fraudulent activities.
In February 2025, multiple individuals connected to 79th Group were arrested and later released on bail as enquiries continued. Following the investigation, the company entered administration, and investors were notified that repayments and interest payments had ceased.

79th Group loan notes were investment products marketed to retail investors with fixed returns of between 12% and 15%, described as secured against real estate, aviation and other assets.
